GO PLACIDLY AMID THE NOISE AND THE HASTE
AND REMEMBER WHAT PEACE THERE MAYBE
INSILENCE.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons
Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others,
even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexation to the spirit.
If you compare yourself to others you may become vain
and bitter for always there will be greater
and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career however humble:
it is a real possession, in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many person strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is
as perennial as the grass
Take kindly the counsel of the years
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture the strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born out of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself
You are  a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars
you have a right to be here
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe
is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God and what ever your
labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life,
it is still a beautiful world.

sometimes I feel like I am stuck right behind the
8 Ball so I keep my eyes on the colours
& avoid the Black that is the key

Ever felt like you are living in a PIT and you need help to get out of The PIT

You look up and yell for HELP
you hear a voice saying
Oh it looks like you are in a Pit
Well my Pit is much deeper than yours
another voice says
gee how did you get down there?
Love to help but just have not got enough time right now
hearing more foot steps you call out again
Help
only to hear a voice saying
look I would love to help but it is dirty down there
I am in my best Cloths sorry
you hear a familiar voice it is a relative
who says well you made your pit you have to live in it
yet another voice sounds familiar
it is your last Counsellor who bends down and looks at you
and with the most caring voice says
I understand that you are in a pit right now
how does that make you feel
you scream out Help Help to hear the voice say
I hear that you are feeling rather helpless right now
we will have to schedule your next appointment next week
then along comes the welfare officer saying
oh now you are in that Pit we just can not let the children live with you
and a very familiar voice calls out to you saying
well dear if you must go down pits I just can not stay married to
you I want a divorce.
the light that you once saw at the top of you Pit seems to
have gone quite black
you sit in silence believing you are done for and
there will be no help for you
as your last resort you kneel and pray
Oh God please help me out of this Pit
a voice from above says
my child why did you take so long to talk to me
with trembling voice you say
I am sorry I should have spoken to YOU long ago
with that a bright light at the top appears
a ladder comes down to you
you begin climbing to see a young man in overalls
and a hard hat looking quite amazed
he says I just got this urge to go adventuring and something stopped
me right here...
was he an angel un aware ???

A Man fell into a PIT and could not get himself out!
A SUBJECTIVE person came along and said: "I feel for you down there"
An OBJECTIVE person came along and said "It's logical that someone would fall
                                                 down there"
A CHRISTIAN SCIENTIST came along saying, "You only think that you are in a PIT"
A PHARISEE said: "Only BAD people fall into PITS"
A NEWSPAPER REPORTER wanted an exclusive story on his PIT.
A FUNDAMENTALIST said: "You deserve your PIT"
CONFUCIUS said: "If you would have listened to me, you would not be in that Pit
BUDDHA said "Your PIT is only a state of Mind
A REALIST said: "That's a Pit
A SCIENTIST calculated the pressure necessary {lbs/sq inch} to get him out of the Pit
A GEOLOGIST told him to appreciate the rock strata in the Pit
A TAX MAN asked if he was paying Tax on the Pit
THE COUNCIL INSPECTOR asked if he had a permit to dig the Pit
An EVASIVE person came along and avoided the subject of his Pit altogether
A SELF-PITTYING person said: "You haven't seen anything until you have seen
                                             My Pit
A CHARISMATIC said "Just Confess that you're in a Pit"
An OPTIMIST said: "Things could be worse"
A PESIMIST said: "Things Will get Worse!"
                                              BUT............
JESUS SEEING THE MAN, TOOK HIM BY THE HAND AND LIFTED HIM
                               OUT OF THE PIT ........

 

One day at a Time

Storms may come in every shape

A rose may wither and die one day

Angry moments may over take

but through the darkness a light can shine

so play a tune or just a note

be happy with your lot it is better than most

ring a friend and exchange a word

share a cuppa with ya mate

go for a drive to see the sites

dream a dream it will lift you up

the rose will bloom again one day

the tears will stop when again you smile

you are the star of your own sweet life

just think how much better off you are to a sheep

you have an umbrella to shield you from the rain

enjoy each day as it comes your way.

Listening Moments

Every Generation seems

to blame the one before

for the present situation

 

 

 

 

 

  We look back through the curtain and

  go on from day to day..

  If we would only learn to LISTEN as well

  as we can HEAR...

  Then we might learn from yesterday

 

 

Take a look at the things that you loved along the way

Your parents New Car but don't forget the family that loved you all the way

 

Some family members remain close while others drift their own way

Yet others leave this world when

it comes their day.

We can only learn to cherish

the time that we have at this moment

and listen to the here and

NOW..

 

       

 

Hang on to those you love and smile

forget about the hurts you may feel

they never meant for that -

that just proves  we are human

and are prone to make mistakes

just hold on to the person

but not onto the regrets

and listen while you CAN

Before it is too Late.

What is beneath the still waters

or

hidden under

The Bridge

 

 

 

Just as we never know what is beneath the surface of the water
we never know what is going on with our sons and daughters
All we can do is do the best that we can
and hope that they will understand
It is the same with friends and foe
we put up a front so they will never know
We pretend that we are strong
and we sing them our song
do what you like
just get on ya bike
and hold on and hide
what we do feel in side..
